I have just retired as the Vice President of the KW Chess Club.
Having said that I am still very active with the club, running the KW
Youth Chess Club and organizing and running most weekend chess
tournaments that the club puts on.
Weekend events such as the KW Fall Open and the KW Winter Open
complement the summer main attraction - the Kitchener Chess
I have also negotiated and nurtured great relationships with
various chess equipment suppliers and wholesalers and through the KW
Chess Club have brought in many chess sets, clocks and other items
into the Waterloo Region for club members, for various schools and
for the club itself.
The KW Chess Club enjoys a terrific relationship with the City of
Kitchener and runs nearly all of it's events at the City Hall. This
includes helping to operate the famous Kitchener Outdoor Chess
Program through the summer with permanent tables installed outdoor
at both ends of City Square where the fountains are.
The KW Chess Club meets every Tuesday evening at Kitchener City
